Dear Colleagues,
The Dissemination Conference Grant Application is to enable COST Action participants whose abstract of the work of the Action is accepted for oral presentation to apply for grants to attend high-level conferences fully organized by a third party. The grantee receives support for attending and delivering an oral presentation of the Action, their activities, and results at a conference and developing new contacts and potential future collaborations1.
Grant Awarding Criteria
Who can apply?
Grants are reserved exclusively for Action Participants* who present in an oral presentation the COST Action’s CA22127 work and results at high-level conferences fully organized by a third party1,2.
*Action Participant2
Any person being a Management Committee member, a Management Committee Observer, a Working Group member, or an ad-hoc contributor to a COST Action.
How to apply?
The applicant is obliged to create a Grant Application by logging into e-COST and clicking on the Grant Applications tab. Next, the applicant should select the grant from the page ‘Apply for new grant’ (‘Dissemination Conference Grant’)3.

The following documents for the grant application are required:
- Dissemination Conference grant application (based on e-COST template) describing: alignment with the Science Communication Plan adopted by the COST Action and Expected impact to the COST Action
- Copy of the abstract of the accepted oral presentation focused on promoting the scientific achievements and activities being performed by the COST Action
- Acceptance (or invitation) letter from the conference organisers3.
- A general description of the conference.
Application timeline:
Grant applications can be submitted in an active Action Grant Period (conference date within the active Grant Period, i.e. no overlap across two consecutive Grant Periods)1.
Grant application evaluation:
All grant applications will be assessed by the Core Group of the CA22127 under the formal eligibility criteria, budget plan of the CA22127, Grant Period timeline and the impact of presentation on promotion of the scientific achievements and activities being performed by the CA22127.
Detailed criteria:
– Is the work presented at the Dissemination Conference related to COST Action CA22127 work/outputs/deliverables?
– Is the Dissemination Conference increasing impact of the work related to COST Action CA22127?
– Is the Dissemination Conference adding value to the networking activities relevant to the COST Action CA22127?
The Action Participant not apply to the other types of conference grants in the period.
The Grant Awarding Coordinator coordinates the collection and evaluation the Dissemination Conference Grants Applications and encodes grant approval or rejection in the eCOST.
The Core Group of the CA22127 on behalf of the Management Committee take decisions on the Dissemination Conference Grants awarding/rejection.
Financial support:
We offer grants up to 2500 EURO per grant for face-to-face conferences or grants up to 500 EURO per grant for online conferences. Grants are paid after the end of the conference and submission of the complete report, according to these conditions and the rules of the COST Association.
Conference active participation is required:
Dissemination Conference Grantee delivers the approved oral presentation, actively networks with other participants and promotes the COST Action to the potential stakeholders.
After grant awarding, grantee is obliged to participate in the conference by presenting submitted oral presentation which promote the scientific achievements and activities being performed by the CA22127. The presentation have to be listed in the official conference programme or in the abstract book.
Grant reporting
COST Action: CA22127 – COllaboratively DEveloped culturallY Appropriate and inclusive Assessment tool for Palliative Care EDUcation should be acknowledged in the in the oral presentation.
Grantee is obliged to submit the required report on the outcome of the presentation, contacts made and potential for future collaborations. The report and relevant documentation for claiming a Dissemination Conference Grant should be submitted in the e-COST within 30 days after the end date of the conference or 15 days after the end of the Grant Period, whichever date comes first1.
Documentation submitted by using report template in the eCOST includes copies of:
Certificate of attendance, programme of the conference or abstract book indicating the oral presentation of the grantee, copy of the given oral presentation with acknowledgement of the COST Action CA22127: COllaboratively DEveloped culturallY Appropriate and inclusive Assessment tool for Palliative Care EDUcation and letter explaining how the attendance contributed to CA22127.
The Grant Awarding Coordinator verify the validity and content of the report and coordinates approval of the report. The Core Group of the CA22127 on behalf of the Management Committee take decisions on the report approval /rejection1.
