Dear Colleagues,
ITC Conference Grant is to enable Action Participants whose abstract is accepted for oral presentation at a conference to apply for grants. Grantee receives support for attending the conference and presenting their own work (oral presentation) within the scope of the Action at the conference. This award not only provides financial support but also aims to enable the recipient to benefit from networking opportunities to establish future collaborations1.

Who can apply?
Grants are reserved exclusively for Action Participants*, affiliated to a legal entity located in the Inclusiveness Target Country (ITC) or in the Near Neighbour Country (NNC)*** whose abstract presenting their own within the scope of the COST Action CA22127 was accepted for oral presentation at a high-level conference.

Any person being a Management Committee member, a Management Committee Observer, a Working Group member, or an ad-hoc contributor to a COST Action.

Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Mayotte, Reunion Island and Saint-Martin (France), Azores and Madeira (Portugal), Canary Islands (Spain), Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Türkiye and Ukraine
***Near Neighbour Countries (NNC)3
Algeria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Egypt, the Faroe Islands, Jordan, Kosovo, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Russia, Syria, and Tunisia.
How to apply?
The applicant is obliged to create a Grant Application by logging into e-COST and clicking on the Grant Applications tab. Next, the applicant should select the grant from the page ‘Apply for new grant’ (‘ITC Conference Grant’)2.

The following documents for the grant application are required:
- ITC Conference grant application (based on e-COST template)2
- Copy of the abstract of the accepted oral presentation2
- Acceptance (or invitation) letter from the conference organisers2
- Applicant CV and motivational letter
Application timeline:
Grant applications can be submitted in an active Action Grant Period (conference date within the active Grant Period, i.e. no overlap across two consecutive Grant Periods)1.
Grant application evaluation:
All grant applications will be assessed by the Core Group of the COST Action under the formal eligibility criteria, budget plan of the CA22127, and scientific merit of the work submitted for the conference.
Detailed criteria:
– Is the content of the work close to the topic of the COST Action CA22127?
– Is the impact of the research findings beneficial to the COST Action CA22127?
The amount of the grant should reflect the duration and location of the Conference and the actual conference fee. The grant cannot exceed 2500 EURO (500 EURO for online conferences).
The Action Participant not apply to the other types of conference grants in the period.
The Grant Awarding Coordinator coordinates the collection and evaluation the ITC Conference Grants Applications and encodes grant approval or rejection in the eCOST.
The Core Group of the CA22127 on behalf of the Management Committee take decisions on the ITC Conference Grants awarding/rejection.
Financial support:
We offer grants up to 2500 EURO per grant for face-to-face conferences or grants up to 500 EURO per grant for online conferences. Grants are paid after the end of the conference and submission of the complete report, according to these conditions and the rules of the COST Association.
ITC Conference active participation is required:
After grant awarding, the grantee is obliged to participate in the conference by presenting submitted oral presentation and has to be listed in the official conference programme.
Grant reporting
COST Action: CA22127 – COllaboratively DEveloped culturallY Appropriate and inclusive Assessment tool for Palliative Care EDUcation should be acknowledged in the oral presentation.
Grantee is obliged to submit the required reports and relevant documentation in e-COST within 30 days after the end date of the conference or 15 days after the end of the Grant Period, whichever date comes first1.
Documentation submitted by using report template in the eCOST includes copies of: Certificate of attendance, Programme of the conference or abstract book / proceedings indicating the oral presentation and oral presentation with acknowledgement of the COST Action CA22127.
The Grant Awarding Coordinator verify the validity and content of the report and coordinates approval of the report. The Core Group of the CA22127 on behalf of the Management Committee take decisions on the report approval /rejection1.
