On April 8, 2026, the first CODE-YAA exchange bringing together palliative care education providers from German-speaking Switzerland was successfully held, with contributions from Eleonore Baum and Monica Fliedner.
The session was marked by open and lively discussions on quality indicators, their relevance, and the challenges and opportunities related to their implementation in practice. The exchange demonstrated how strongly the topic of primary palliative care is shared, discussed, and valued across a diverse range of educational providers.
This first meeting highlighted the importance of continued dialogue and collaboration in strengthening palliative care education. Building on this momentum, further CODE-YAA exchange events are already being planned. The next session will focus more specifically on curriculum content.
We would also like to acknowledge Marlene Werner, a member of the project’s science communication group, for her excellent technical support during the presentation of the project at the COST meeting, which helped ensure a smooth and successful session.
