Dr Aneta Maria Kochanowicz from WSB University in Dąbrowa Górnicza, leader of Working Group 2: Culture, Language & Diversity within the COST Action CA22127 CODE-YAA@PC-EDU project, presented the project during the 18th International Conference of the journal “Palliative Medicine in Practice”, held in Gdańsk on 29–30 May 2026.
Her presentation, entitled “Cultural and Linguistic Frameworks of Palliative Care Education: Development and Implementation of the CODE-YAA@PC-EDU Tool in an International Perspective,” introduced the project’s aims, the development of Quality Indicators for Palliative Care Education, the creation of a Glossary of Terms, and the principles guiding the translation of the CODE-YAA tool into national languages.
Dr Kochanowicz also presented progress on the Polish language version of the quality indicators and thanked the experts involved in the consultation process: Prof. Wojciech Leppert, President of the Polish Society of Palliative Care, Dr Izabela Kaptacz, President of the Polish Society of Palliative Care Nursing, and Prof. Agnieszka Zimmermann from the Medical University of Gdańsk.
The conference was also attended by Dr Leszek Pawłowski, Grant Awarding Coordinator of CODE-YAA@PC-EDU, and Jan Getek from the Medical University of Gdańsk, who has also joined the project.
