From 5–7 August 2026, WG3 leaders Gil Goldzweig and Ozan Bahcivan took part in a Short-Term Scientific Mission at the University of Tartu, Estonia, focused on advancing the analysis of the 2026 CODE-YAA Quality Indicator Survey.
Together with Joni Matias Haikonen, who conducted the survey analyses, and Allan Kährik, the team reviewed findings for all 36 quality indicators, including their perceived relevance, reported presence in educational curricula, and suggestions from respondents on how the indicators could be measured in practice.
The discussions helped move the work beyond descriptive survey results towards a clearer understanding of how individual indicators may be interpreted and operationalised across different educational and national contexts. The team also identified areas requiring further analysis, clarification and validation.
On the final day, Gil, Ozan and Joni met with Action Chair Piret Paal to discuss the implications of the findings and the next phase of WG3 work. The outcomes will inform forthcoming discussions within CODE-YAA, including the Core Group meeting in Latvia and future development and dissemination of the quality indicators.
